About this experience
Just outside the village, a limestone cave houses thousands of fruit bats that stream out at dusk. Your guide takes you in with a headlamp first, explains the ecology and local stories, then sets up camp by a quiet stretch of the Bohorok River. While you swim or sit by the water, the grill goes on: fresh local fish, chicken satay, vegetables, fruit. You eat with your hands as the bats leave the cave in a long stream above the treetops. A slow, easy afternoon that lands well after a trek. Or as a stand-alone evening.
