Every one of our trekking guides is registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and certified by HPI, the official Indonesian Tourist Guide Association. That means legal Gunung Leuser park permits, mandatory training in ethical wildlife conduct and first aid, and always two guides per trek for your safety.

About this experience
Four-day treks push well past the weekend-adventure zone. Expect long walking days, two or three different camp sites along jungle rivers, and entire mornings where you won't hear anything but the forest. Sightings improve the further you go (wild orangutans, gibbons, siamangs, hornbills, sometimes even tracks of larger mammals. On the final day you ride the Jungle Taxi (river tubing) back to Bukit Lawang. Everything you need for camp) food, mattress, mosquito net, permits. Is carried by your porter.
