About this experience
This short trek is the most accessible way into Gunung Leuser National Park. Your certified guide takes you through rubber plantations and onto the first jungle trails, scanning the canopy for semi-wild orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques and gibbons. You'll stop for a fresh fruit snack in the forest before riding the Jungle Taxi (rubber tubes) gently back to Bukit Lawang along the Bohorok river. It's friendly, family-ready, and leaves time for the rest of your day.
